Abstract : A wide range of indigenous ideologies, linguistic traditions, literary forms, and cultural activities that have evolved over millennia are included in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). This essay explores the historical and current effects of these systems on the disciplines of linguistics and literature. It explores the ways that literary theory and language studies in India have been influenced by regional literatures, ancient Sanskrit poetics, and linguistic ideologies. This study examines primary texts, academic criticisms, and current discussions on incorporating IKS into contemporary literary and linguistic frameworks using a qualitative literary research technique.
